Prepress Services

Our Corporate Graphics Prepress Department features a streamlined workflow designed to handle high volumes of work with exceptional speed and accuracy. Last-minute changes? No problem.

We utilize Kodak Prinergy Workflow, paired with the InSite interactive online proofing system, to move projects efficiently through all digital proofing and plating stages. Our GRACoL G7 Certified closed-loop color management ensures outstanding accuracy, delivering consistent, reliable color reproduction from proof to press.

Proofing Services

Proofing is integrated throughout our production process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and confidence at every stage. We offer a range of color-accurate soft and hard copy proofs during both prepress and printing, giving you the opportunity to review and approve your project before it goes to press.

InSite Proof (Smart Review): An InSite proof is a soft proof viewed on screen using our web-based, interactive proofing system. It provides a detailed, full-screen preview of your piece along with tools for viewing, annotation, and real-time collaboration.

InSite is intuitive and easy to use, helping streamline the review and approval process. We also provide complimentary on-site and remote technical support and training. For more information or to get started, please contact your sales representative. You can download the InSite Guide using the link at the bottom of the page.

Imposition Proof: An imposition proof is a physical mock-up of your final printed piece. These low-resolution inkjet proofs are used to confirm layout, page sequence, alignment, and final trim size. Imposition proofs are not color-accurate; they are intended for structural verification. Final color is validated using the contract proof.

Contract Proof: The contract proof is a high-resolution, color-accurate hard copy used for final approval. It is reviewed and signed by the customer and serves as the standard for color matching on press. Produced from the same color-managed files used to image printing plates, it ensures accurate and consistent reproduction from proof to press.

Press Proof: During a press proof, the customer or designer works directly with the press operator to achieve the desired color on press. Once approved and signed, production proceeds. Press proofs are typically reserved for highly color-critical or high-visibility projects.

Computer-to-Plate (CTP)

Once final proofs are approved, your project moves seamlessly into plate production. Using the same color-managed digital files created during the proofing process, we output directly to our computer-to-plate (CTP) laser imaging systems.

This advanced technology ensures that type, artwork, and images are transferred quickly and with exceptional precision, resulting in sharp, consistent reproduction on press. The result is outstanding image quality and reliable color accuracy—bringing your project to life exactly as intended.

Finishing Services

At Corporate Graphics, our comprehensive print finishing and bindery services ensure your project is completed with precision, durability, and visual impact. From basic trimming to advanced specialty finishes, we provide a full range of post-press solutions designed to enhance both the function and appearance of your printed materials.

Our finishing capabilities support books, catalogs, magazines, marketing materials, and custom print projects of all sizes.

Bindery Services
Our full-service bindery department manages all post-press processes required to transform printed sheets into finished products. This includes:

  • Cutting and trimming

  • Jogging for precise alignment

  • Collating and gathering

  • Folding into signatures

  • Saddle stitching and other binding preparation

These essential steps ensure accuracy, consistency, and a professional final product.

Die Cutting
Our custom die cutting services allow for the creation of unique shapes, designs, and patterns that make your printed pieces stand out. Using steel rule, rotary, circular, and thermal dies—as well as advanced tooling—we can produce intricate and consistent results for packaging, marketing materials, and specialty print applications.

Embossing & Debossing
Add dimension and sophistication with embossing and debossing services.

  • Embossing creates a raised design for a tactile, premium effect

  • Debossing produces a recessed image pressed into the paper surface

These techniques can be applied as blind (no ink) or combined with printed graphics for added impact.

Foil Stamping
Create a striking visual finish with foil stamping, where metallic, matte, or pigmented foils are applied to your design. This process enhances logos, titles, and key design elements with a premium, high-end look. Foil stamping can also be combined with embossing or debossing for added dimension.

Folding Services
Our precision paper folding services convert flat press sheets into finished formats such as book signatures, brochures, maps, and mailers. We offer a wide range of fold styles to meet the specific needs of your project.

Hand Bindery
For specialized or complex projects, our hand bindery services provide meticulous, manual finishing, including assembly, collating, gluing, and custom construction. This ensures accuracy and quality for short runs or unique applications.

Lamination
Protect and enhance your printed materials with lamination services. By applying a thin plastic film, lamination improves durability while adding a professional finish—available in gloss, matte, or soft-touch options. It also provides resistance to moisture, stains, and wear.

Trimming
Our precision trimming services ensure your final printed pieces are cut cleanly and accurately to their finished size. This final step delivers crisp edges and a polished appearance.

Bookbinding Services

Soft Cover

Corporate Graphics offers a full range of soft cover bookbinding services designed to meet the needs of publishers, schools, businesses, and organizations. From high-volume production to specialty applications, our binding methods ensure durability, functionality, and a professional finished appearance for every project.

Perfect Bound

A widely used softcover bookbinding method, perfect binding involves stacking pages or signatures, roughening and flattening the spine, and securing the cover with a strong, flexible adhesive. This method is ideal for books, catalogs, manuals, and magazines, offering a clean, square spine for printing titles and branding details such as the author’s name and publishing logo.

Adhesive Bound
Lay-Flat

This binding method uses specialized adhesives to secure loose pages into a solid text block—without the use of sewing or stitching. The result is a softcover book that opens more fully and lays flatter than traditional perfect-bound books, improving usability and readability. It is well-suited for manuals, workbooks, and other publications that require ease of use and frequent handling.

Smyth Sewn

A premium sewn bookbinding method where folded signatures are stitched together with thread before the cover is applied. This process creates a strong, flexible spine and significantly improves durability, making it ideal for high-use books and long-lasting publications.

Smyth Sewn Lay-Flat

This enhanced Smyth sewn binding involves sewing together folded, gathered, and collated signatures with a continuous thread through the folds of each section, creating a durable, high-quality text block. The result is a strong yet flexible book that opens completely flat, making it ideal for textbooks, cookbooks, and reference materials where hands-free use and long-lasting performance are essential.

PUR-Bound

Binding that involves stacking all the pages or signatures together, roughening and flattening the spine edge and attaching the paper cover to the spine with a PUR (polyurethane reactive) adhesive binding considered the most durable bookbinding adhesive on the market.
