Page layout refers to the actual document page and its composition. Page layout is
the process of placing, arranging and rearranging text and graphics on the page to produce documents.
Corporate Graphics' basic page layout guidelines:
• Create a document to the actual size of the desired finished product using
single pages.
• Bleed: If there are elements covering a page—images, photos, sidebars, etc.—
extend them beyond the edge of the document page 0.25" to create the bleed.
• All fonts should be open/active to be embedded. Never use the style palette to
alter a font; use the exact fonts only.
• All images need to be high resolution: 250-300 pixels/inch (dpi). When placing
images into layout program, place at 100% or below whenever possible. Enlarging
images more than 110% reduces the quality of the image.
• Images and graphics MUST to be linked.
• If FlightCheck or similar application is available, please use it to help catch low-
resolution images, font issues, etc., before sending files.
